Saint Cloche - Sydney Event Photography

Saint Cloche is an art gallery and concept space located in Paddington.  The white walls, large windows, and overall aesthetic is a photographer's dream, not to mention the incredible art.  I tend to walk by on a regular basis and always admire the latest exhibitions, so of course I was thrilled to photograph the opening night of "Phantom Paradise, A Tropical Abyss" featuring works by Amy WrightAedan Harris, Lilli Waters, and Pascale Boulle.

Custom Albums - Sydney Family Photographer

Delivering orders to clients is one of the best parts of my job.  I love seeing faces light up when a family is viewing their printed portraits for the first time and it's satisfying to know that my client has received tangible memories they'll cherish for years to come.  In a world filled with digital media, I'm a firm believer in not only capturing special moments, but also proudly displaying them in your home.  While custom framing is a great option for many people, not everyone has wall space to devote to family portraits or the ability to put nails into walls (specifically renters). This hand sewn, hard covered album, printed on beautiful matt paper is a wonderful alternative.  Whether you go small or large with complicated layouts or a simple design, customised albums are a fabulous way to keep special images off your computer and on your shelf or coffee table for regular viewing.

Hayman Island

My fiancé and I just returned from Hayman Island and it was absolutely incredible.  We had been hoping to visit the Whitsundays since we moved to Australia over a year ago.  So, we were excited to finally make our way up there during the long weekend and enjoyed a relaxing three days in a beautiful part of the world that I'd happily visit again.  Craig got to scuba dive, I spent plenty of time by the pool, and like any good vacation, we indulged in delicious meals (especially the breakfast buffet...something I'm seriously missing now that we're back home to reality).  Here are a few favorites from a truly wonderful trip.

Looking Great in Photos

Having your photo taken can be awkward.  I was reminded of this recently when my fiancé and I had engagement portraits taken.  Being on the other side of the lens can be intimidating and uncomfortable, which is why hiring a great photographer is important.  We were lucky to work with a talented wedding photographer (who also happens to be a good friend) who provided clear direction, kept the mood light and fun, and provided positive feedback; all essential elements for creating a beautiful portrait.  Click here for a few helpful tips to look confident and natural in your next snapshot or professional portrait.

Sydney Harbour - Family Photography

A few weeks ago, a lovely California family asked me to photograph them during their vacation here in Sydney.  They were an absolute pleasure to work with and I loved their choice in outfits.  The colours worked so nicely with the Sydney Opera House as a backdrop.
